Today Was a Good Day!

My Grandma with Almeta and Robert at Colby's and my wedding. They had been married 57 years at our wedding, the longest of any couple at the ceremony.
Today my mom, myself and two other teammates won our Tuesday morning bowling league, a repeat of last season! While, this isn't a big accomplishment, it would have been huge for Almeta. For the sheer fact that she loved to share the experience with those she loved. We lost a truly fine lady, last January, quite unexpectedly. She was 84 and had been in wonderful health, both mentally and physically. We did it for you Almeta, we miss you dearly.
Raif actually ate table food, and fed himself today. Those are peas, folks!!!
Showing off off for the camera.
A little more funny business.
A happy smile with a half eaten bowl of peas!
Bailey in her dance leotard, that little girl loves to dance!
Our Lily happy to be home from a night's stay at the vet, we're so happy she's home.
Even Boomer was worried about her.
Colby and Lily taking a snooze. After last week's late work week, we were glad he was home for dinner. He and Lily enjoyed a little slumber while I got to catch up on Dancing With The Stars.

It is truly the small things, that makes life so grand. My mom and I won our bowling league, a league that Almeta started, and we finished for her. I really didn't know how much I missed her until today. She brought a smile to my face every Tuesday morning I walked into that bowling alley. We won the league last year, and I remember when she asked if we would bowl again this year, I told her, "Of course, we have to see if we can win again!" Well Almeta, we did, and all for you.
Today Raif actually picked up his own food today and ate!!! Enough said,
Lily went into the vet's yesterday for some stomach issues. They kept her overnight, and she's back. Our dogs are like children, and the worry I have for them is crazy. Needless to say, I'm happy she's home.
Colby has been having LATE nights at work lately. When I texted him at 4pm, he said he wouldn't make it home for dinner. Well, he did, and boy was it wonderful!

Like I said before, Today Was a Good Day!!!

Sneak Peak Part2

I told my mom there was another video, so here it is! The dramatic looks from Bailey are too funny!

Sneak Peak!

She got her recital costume yesterday, and can't stop talking about it!

Bailey got her recital costume yesterday at dance class. Mind you, the recital is not until June 12th, so it is my goal for the next 8 weeks to keep it looking like new. How I am going to do this, I'm not sure. She got home from preschool and asked to put it on. Then when I told her she needed a bath before she was getting anywhere near her costume, she wanted a bath. Then after the bath, she was ready for her costume. I feel like I'm in the story "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie!" After the costume was put on, she promptly went into a pretend recital. Here is a little glimpse of the show she put on. Raif and I got to be part of the audience. Well, I think Raif was actually watching Yo Gabba Gabba, but was still there in spirit.

P.S. As I'm writing this the recital is still going on!

Colby's fishing club once again hosted their annual couple's brunch at Santa Anita Racetrack. We had lots of fun and had our friends Dustin and Jamie join us this year. All of us came out even or a few dollars ahead!! It was a beautiful day, despite it being a bit cold!

Raif and his TV

Of all the places to sit, he plops down in the middle of the hardwood floor.
Raif will just plop down anywhere, with blankets in hand. The rugs would have been more comfortable, but he doesn't seem to mind.

Poor Lily Dog

Raif loves to sit in Lily's dog bed and eat his cheerios. And, yes, he has the whole bag. It was the only way we could get him to eat that morning. And, the bonus was, he didn't spill a single one!

Easter was filled with lots of fun. On Saturday we celebrated Regan and Paige's 4th and 2nd birthdays, then Bailey went with her Grammy and Papa to Virginia Country Club's Easter egg hunt. That evening we went over to my sister's for chili, cornbread and Easter egg dyeing. Easter morning we woke up for the first egg hunt and Easter baskets. We hosted brunch for our parents, my sister and her family and our neighbors Anne and Darrel. A great celebration with friends and family.
