Bailey's Halloween Dance Class

Bailey's Dance Class

Dancing a Halloween Dance

Bailey is still going strong with dance class. She absolutely adores it. This year, they asked everyone to come in their Halloween costumes for dance class. I was wondering how this would work out, but it did. There were 4 Cinderellas, 5 fairies, 1 cat, 1 polka dot girl, and our little Pocahontas. Colby got there for the last few minutes of dance class and Bailey's face though the glass window, as she saw her daddy watching dance class, was so adorable.

All in a Mom's Days Work

So, as you can tell it was a busy weekend. We had Raif's 1st birthday party with 71 people at our house followed by Grandma Pat's 94th birthday party at my mom and dad's house. We had house guests, my mom and dad had house guests, etc, etc. Needless to say, it was a busy weekend. So, Monday rolls around and I'm out of STRAWBERRY Jelly for Bailey's preschool lunch. I search in desperation in the pantry and can only find figgy jelly. I slip it into her princess school lunch bag and lone behold when I pick her up we have a sandwich that has not had even a bite taken out of it. I asked her about it and she said she does not LIKE the jelly. Tuesday morning was also crazy. Bowling in the morning (not a fun day, I'll explain in a later post), lunch with my cousin and her daughter, followed by Raif's nap and Bailey's dance class. At lunch, I was sitting there eating and thought to myself, I am not going to have enough time to go to the market. As I sit there thinking about this, I see the GOLDEN basket of jelly. And guess what, they have STRAWBERRY jelly!! So...

Which produced this:

And gave Bailey one scrumptious preschool lunch!
Side Note: Bailey loves having cookie cutter sandwiches. She will not eat the crust, which neither did I when I was little and now I love the crust. So, why bother right now? If I don't use cookie cutters I cut them into shapes and she has to tell me which shapes she ate after school. It's so much fun for her to eat her lunch and...who wouldn't feel special if their mom took the time to cut their sandwiches into fun shapes?
Hope this gives you a good laugh on how desperate a mom can become!!!
P.S. The waitress was tipped very well, I think I somehow felt guilty.

Happy 94th Birthday Grandma Pat!

Grandma Pat with all 6 of her children.
Grandma Pat with 4 generations (oldest child Aunt Roxanne, her daughter Erin and her daughter Chelsea) We're missing 3 of Erin's kids
Grandma Pat with next oldest daughter Aunt Millicent and her daughter Diana and her daughter Giuiliana (Not there was Tom and his two kids)
Adding oldest son Harold and his daughters Kelly and Brenda with their kids Jaymee, Lexy, Bailey and Raif
Adding Uncle Ken with his children Kevin with daughter Charlotte and Keith with son Lucas
Adding Uncle Greg and his son Jake who's son Ayden was not pictured
My camera didn't get the last one in which should have only added Uncle Mark with daughter Jennifer and her kids Austin, Marissa and Bianca
Spouses were added and grandchildren without children
Today marks the day of celebrating 94 years of a fabulous woman. Grandma Pat turns 94. We celebrated at my mom and dad's house with lots of fun. Grandma Pat had a vision of taking a picture of every one of her children and grandchildren who have given her a great-grandchild, hence the 4 generations. She started off directing the photo session with her oldest daughter and grandchild, and great-grandchild. If you were a grandchild without children, you were not in these pictures because there was no 4th generation. It took us a while to figure out what she wanted, but our grandma, sharp as a tack, knew exactly what she wanted and didn't miss a beat. This amazing woman can tell you everyone of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild's name, date of birth and which number grandchild or great-grandchild they are. She has 6 children who gave her 17 grandchildren who gave her 19 great-grandchildren (which is still growing). We are so blessed to still have her with us and pray she will be with us for many more birthdays. It was so fun to see our Aunts and cousins we hadn't seen in a while and for many of us to meet family members. Happy Birthday Grandma!!

I belong to a mom's group and one of the topics was traditions. We discussed different traditions we do, and got some great ideas from other moms and their families. One tradition I forgot that we did, but have done every year since Bailey was born, is the pumpkin patch. I already posted the pictures from this year's pumpkin patch, but came up with a new idea. I just printed out all of our family pictures from each year's visit to the pumpkin patch. I'm going to go and get frames and put the pictures out each fall, so the kids, and Colby and I, can see how we've all grown. Enjoy the trip down memory lane!
