Yesterday, we headed over to the LA Zoo with the owner of Raif's preschool. She has been a docent there since the 80's and is a wealth of knowledge. She brought us behind the scenes with the orangutans. The head keeper let us sneak a peak during their feeding time. We were less than 10 feet from them, and got an up close and personal look at them. So special!

Rainy Day
Adventure City
Our neighbor, Anne, and spent the morning at Adventure City. The kids are on spring break, so instead of trying to deal with the crowds at Disneyland, we thought we'd give it a try. The kids had a great time, and had fun going on the rides. It's a great little park for a quick trip.
Easter Egg Dyeing
Easter at Virginia Country Club
The Saturday before Easter we went with Colby's parents to Virginia for their annual Kid's Easter Day. It was so much fun and the kids had a great time.
Career Day at School
Bailey's school had Career Day last week. During the day, she got to listen to a fireman, dentist and even someone who worked with Walt Disney! After Kindergarten was let out, I picked her up and she, Raif and I watched a police helicopter land on school grounds. We also got to see a police dog and a robot used in bomb searches. An exciting day for everyone!
Trip to the Easter Bunny
For the first time since he wasn't walking, I got a picture of Raif with the Easter bunny when he wasn't screaming. Colby was in San Diego for the night, so we made a trip to South Coast to see the Easter bunny and have a fun dinner.
Raif's First Trip on the Catalina Express
We were supposed to take the boat for a fun weekend in Avalon a few weekends ago, but the weather has not been so great here in sunny So Cal. The manager of the Tuna Club was retiring after 20+ years, so instead of braving the weather we took the Express over for the day. Raif had never been on the Express, so it was a fun new experience for him. It started pouring just as we were leaving Avalon, so we were happy we didn't chance the weather on our boat.
