I Love Snails!

As much of a girlie girl she is, she still has a little tomboy in her! At least she's not squeamish about things!

Bailey is 4 1/2 Today!

I know, it sounds so weird. It's not a birthday, so what's the big deal. Well, to a 4 1/2 year old it is. She is no longer just plain 4, but 4 1/2. Don't get to worried, there were no gifts, no big celebration. We measured Bailey this morning, and but her new 4 1/2 year old measurement on her chart. And, she got to pick what I made for dinner. A girl after my own heart, she picked pizza. So, dear, sweet mom didn't have to make a thing! We ate outside and afterwards roasted marshmallows on the fire pit. We also cozied up to our new blankets our good friend Curtis brought back from our trip to Cabo. It was a fun, special night for all of us.
Bailey roasting her marshmallow.
Raif is actually saying, "Cheese!"
As hot as it was today, it actually got quite chilly outside tonight.
Colby enjoying his marshmallow, and making seconds!

Water Fun in the Backyard

It's been so hot lately, Raif and Bailey have been having tons of water fun.
I think you missed Bailey.
Now you're all wet.
And so are you, Raif!
Kids love to pour water!
So fun!
I love the way the water looks in this one.
Surprise!

Bay Day with Jaymee and Lexy

I'm a little behind on my posts...

Two Fridays ago Jaymee and Lexy joined us for a day at the bay. Since they've gotten a bit older, it's hard to get catch them on a day when they are not busy. But, we finally managed to get them to come with us to the bay. It was a lot of fun and relaxing (for me)!
Bailey swimming with Lexy and Jaymee
It looks a bit cold.
Raif eating, while Bailey is swimming in the background.
Raif helping Lexy build a castle.
Now, switched to helping Jaymee.
Everyone is helping now.Continuing with the fun.
More water to make it nice and muddy.
Not sure what they're building, but it was lots of fun.
At the end, Bailey got to help Lexy knock it down.

Catalina Trip with The Vega's

My sister and her family finally ALL got to go with us to Catalina. We took Kelly and the girls last summer, but Eli had to work last minute and couldn't join us. Well, this summer it all worked it out we got to take Eli on his first trip to the island. Luckily, Colby was able to get a mooring in Avalon so Eli could experience it for the first time. We had so much fun with lots of laughter and good times. We swam, ate, drank and even got to have a school of dolphins swim next to the boat on the way home. The pictures tell the story of our trip.

Dinner Friday night for day old spaghetti and lasagna
Bailey had to be in the picture!
Mommy and Raif
After dinner, the girls had to try and ride the buffalo
Bailey included.
Eli got his Wicky Wacked for the first time
We really don't make it a habit to take our kids to bars!
Oh, Jaymee!
Hang Loose, Lexy!
Kelly had a delicious buffalo's milk, notice empty glass!
After a quick drink, we headed over to the arcade for a few games.
Concentration all around!
Jaymee was racking up tickets on a game of 21
Air hockey - Lexy won!
Simultaneous game as above, Jaymee won!
Just like her Daddy, kissing the fish
I love fish!
School of mackerel, Lexy's catch.
Love this picture of Jaymee and Kelly
Skip-bo, a game my Grandma Donna used to play with us for hours. I thought it would be fun to bring on the boat.
Jaymee taking the plunge off the boat
Lexy was a bit hesitant, but she had a go at it, finally.
Go Lexy!
My turn
After all of our jumps, Bailey finally got in the water!
Colby jumping off the second tower
Jaymee climbing up the stairs
Fly Jaymee! My turn next.
No jumping for Kelly and Eli
Bailey swimming with her Daddy
Since Lily has gotten so brave walking around the perimeter of the boat, we had to buy her a life jacket. We also had to see if it worked!
Wet dog.
The school of dolphin on the way home.
She looks so cute, I couldn't resist another picture, or two!
Rest time for Jaymee, Bailey and Lexy on the way back home.
Afterwards, they all climbed in together.
Video of the dolphins on the way home. Bailey, Lexy and I were on the bow of the boat watching them swim under the boat. You can see our shadow in the water and on the dolphin. You can also hear Bailey in the background, she is laughing, not crying!
