A Laugh Caught on Tape

I finally captured Raif laughing while I had my camera ready. Sorry about the sideways thing again, but he was on my leg and you gotta do what you gotta do. We were watching Max and Ruby, a show about two bunnies on Noggin, and Max was being "Super Bunny." Raif thought "Super Bunny" was funny!

A Dog's Life

Boomer didn't think he was getting enough "blog time," so he has developed a habit of sitting up on the couch in the upstairs playroom in hopes of getting an "I'm so cute" picture on the blog.

Curt suggested we try the baklava before eating our lunch...a great idea!

Moroccan Cooking Class

My mom
My dad
My sister, Kelly
Eli, Kelly's husband
My mom bought a Moroccan cooking class at an auction for the Long Beach Public Libraries last June. We finally got around to making the date for our Moroccan extravaganza. And what an event it was. Our host, Leslye lives up in Palos Verdes with a beautiful view. We learned how to cook baklava, so scrumptious! We also learned how to make a delicious carrot salad, eggplant appetizer and a to die for chicken. We drank a traditional style tea when we got there, but if you know us we eventually busted the wine out!!! It was a great afternoon and we thank Leslye for being such a great host. She even offered to donate another cooking class for this years auction for the Libraries. The event will be on June 28 at the Latin American Museum of art. Visit the website if you are interested: http://www.lbplfoundation.org/programs_ge.html
I am helping again this year with securing auction items and would love to know if anyone has any donations.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Raif and our Irish princess
I bought an adorable shamrock shirt for Bailey to wear on St. Patrick's Day, but all she wanted to wear was her Irish princess crown. I think the cute t-shirts for every holiday might stop at
age 3. Although, if it were a cute dress she might have worn it.

Feeding the Ducks

A fun family photo.
Bailey and Reagan praying they don't get duck poop on them!
Paige can't decide if she is ready to walk yet.
We joined the Irelands for a late breakfast at the club (El Dorado Golf Course restaurant). We had a great meal in our own private room and brought all of the hot dog buns left over from Bailey's birthday to feed the ducks (Yes, they were a little green).

Saturday Morning Fun

Colby and Bailey decided to have the dogs join them in her secret room. Boomer made himself comfortable, but Lily only stayed for a short visit.

It's Bouncer Time Too!

Bailey at 5 1/2 months old.
Bailey at 3 years old!
Raif loving his fingers and bouncer. So I thought since he loved the bumbo, maybe he might be ready for the bouncer. I tried to put him in it, but he needed his afternoon snack first. By the time I got back up to his room, Bailey had already climbed in the bouncer and reacquainted herself with her old toy. She also took her dress off, although I'm not sure why the two were related. Anyways, after Raif had his snack sure enough he was happy in the bouncer, lasting almost 30 minutes!!!

It's Bumbo Time!!

Today, after our playdate with Reagan and Paige at Sarah's house (see her blog for cute pictures) she asked if I had put Raif in a highchair yet. I said I hadn't but thought he might be ready for the bumbo. So when we got home I tried him in it and he loved it. You gotta love bumbo!

A Lovely Evening!

Last night Colby got home a little early. We had a wonderful dinner and even had time for a walk with the dogs to Rite Aide to have ice cream. It was just one of those evenings where you enjoy a glass of wine, a fire, a walk and great kids.

Almost Over!

Raif is trying so hard to roll over, if he can just get that arm out of the way!

A Day at the Races

This is an absolutely horrible picture (this was at the end of the day with a few cocktails in us...I hate that splotchy red look!), but I felt I needed to put something on the blog non-kid related to show we actually do have a life. Colby's fishing club, The Avalon Tuna Club, hosts a day at Santa Anita Race Track at the turf club. We invited our good friends Curt and Yvette to join us this year. We had a wonderful time with a delicious brunch and cocktails. We bet on the races and Yvette definitely won the most. She had a system of jockeys, trainers, odds and names that seemed to be working.

Happy Birthday Reagan

This is a little late in posting, but still important to put on the blog. Reagan turned 3 with a fun princess party. Snow White even came to the party! Sarah and Aaron had a great set-up in their front yard with lots of things for the kids to do. See Sarah's blog for lots more pictures.

Raif's 1st Trip to Disneyland

We finally broke down and and bought annual passes to Disneyland. My sister and Eli and my nieces just renewed their passes, and my mom got one as well, so we decided it would be a fun way to spend time with everyone. Raif got to go to Disneyland for his first time, he slept through a lot of it, but loved the Carousel. He also got to go on Casey Junior, but since we were in the monkey cage we couldn't get a picture. And of course, we had to wait in line to see the princesses. After all, they hadn't seen Bailey in her Belle dress yet!!!!
